Learner Course

Lessons would normally be for 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours, picking you up from your door and finishing at your door. We do not piggy back, that is to say we do not expect you to drop the last pupil home.

The learner syllabus consists of the following elements:

  • Safety aspects of entering and leaving the car.

  • Cockpit drill and main controls of the car.

  • Moving off and stopping, including mirrors vision & use.

  • Approaching junctions to turn left and right. (major to minor)

  • Emerging at T junctions. (minor to major)

  • Turn in the road. (three point turn)

  • Meeting traffic, including anticipation & planning.

  • Crossroads.

  • Emergency stops, including effective use of mirrors.

  • Roundabouts.

  • Pedestrian Crossings, including the use of all signals.

  • Left reverse and right reverse.

  • Dual carriageways.

  • Rural Roads.

  • Reverse parking into a bay. (car park)

  • Reverse parking between two cars. (parallel park)

  • Night driving.

  • Continued practice to achieve all subjects without guidance.

  • Mock Test.

  • Further practice to correct faults made on mock test.

  • DSA practical driving test.
